Maryland College GOP Chairman & Maryland Maverick Host Colin McEvers clashed with SU Professor & Open Agenda Host Joe Venosa over the issue of the 287g Program, Illegal Immigration, and Deportations.
Over 100 students attended the event, making it the highest attended political discussion at Salisbury University in many years.
The topics of the debate included: (1) Is the 287g Program Needed in Wicomico? (2) How have local Wicomico Government Officials Handled this Proposal? (3) Is Deportation Moral? and (4) Does the Legal Immigration System Need to be Reformed?
