Just this past week the Maryland Comptroller’s office has released a report that the costly housing market is driving people to its neighboring States, in addition the State is seeing the State’s population is rapidly shrinking. So is there really a housing crisis in Maryland currently? All it seems the State is doing in “Socially Engineering” “Affordable Housing” with a $400 Million Dollar redistribution scheme.
If the Moore Administration wants to make housing “More Affordable” how about not increase taxes and fees by $2 Billion Dollars like it has in 3 years on the States small business and working families, not push regulations on traditional energy providers increasing energy rates by 1000 percent since 2023 around the State. Stop putting new regulations on newly built homes in the State that will drive up costs, and stop “inflating” the value of property by SDAT which is increasing property taxes on homes every couple of years.
Yes we need “Affordable Housing” in Maryland however what Governor Moore and Housing Secretary Day are doing is straight up redistribution / socialism, which will ultimately make housing in Maryland for the average citizen even more “unaffordable”….
