On July 31, 2025 at approximately 7:26 in the evening, officers from SPD were called to a residence within the 600 block of E. Isabella St. in reference to a “road rage” incident that occurred in the area of Benny St. Through the course of the investigation, officers and detectives learned that a 17-year-old female victim was operating a motor vehicle traveling within the area of Benny St. and Clay St. when an adult male operating a van proceeded to drive erratically. As the victim tried to evade the van, the suspect exited the van and displayed a handgun. He then proceeded to shoot at the victim’s vehicle as she fled the area. The suspect was shortly thereafter identified as 38-year-old Salvador Valadez. Earlier this morning, members of SPD served a search and seizure warrant within the 600 block of Dover St. where Mr. Valadez was located and taken into custody for this incident. He was later released to the Wicomico County Detention Center to be seen by a District Court Commissioner. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.
