rolling down from the masters of the universe, you will own nothing and be happy! hence we cant build apartments and townhomes for you to rent your whole life if we have to use wells and septic. So you will need a county wide water and sewer system in order to build all those new apartments! so let me ask you, who’s looking out for your quality of life? single home subdivisions will no longer be allowed! mixed use i.e. ghetto / projects coming to a neighborhood near you!

You already need county permission for well and septic. At least public water and sewer are more reliable and less expensive, so what’s the complaint?
Not more reliable and less expensive 3:34 in the long term. Ask the people in Flint MI how they like their public water utility.
city of salisbury and cambridge water treatment plants are constantly failing. they run over in the water where people fish, swim and boat. some waters are closed near cambridge right now from a sewage overflow. city water and sewer are not wanted in my life. my septic is pumped out regularly and never has overflowed….my water tastes amazing and no chlorine needed

Less expensive? I can only guess you are not talking about hook up and impact fees? Or do those not count. They tell you, you can’t replace your septic and are forced to pay 10’s of thousands of dollars to hook up.
You obviously don’t know how expensive a septic system is to install. Much more than hook up charges. And then you have to maintain it, and eventually of you live long enough you have to replace some or all of it. I’ll take municipal any time.
Needing permission is part of the tyranny! Not being allowed to replace without putting a mound in your front yard is another part of the tyranny!
Governments have already shown their ineptitude in providing services – Flint MI is one of many examples!
Then your bills DOUBLE inside city Limits !!!!

Somebody has too much power in Wicomico County, not sure who it is.
Cannon preaching about development seems a bit funny, when ghettobury is now 80% rental and 32+% poverty.
Then you have the home flippers that buy up affordable homes at 85K and try to sell it in a ghetto neighborhood for 200K.
One other meeting, I believe council was preaching about stopping the use of septic and the whole pollution mantra but now they are complaining that it takes too long for approval? Pick a side, council.
Then you have to “Pay” to apply for an apt you havent even seen and this is legal? Did you know by law, if they do not spend the money processing your application you are due a refund, by state law? Ask for a copy of the credit report and accountability of where your money went!!!

I honestly do not understand, how its ethical, for all these developers and landlords to sit on council and make decisions that form the community, and it doesn’t seem for the better, for the community as a whole.
Its sad that you only hear gossip and rumors about these people. Forming an educated opinion is most difficult.
The management company “application fee” seems not only unethical, but borderline illegal. What exactly are you getting for the money? You can not see what you are applying for previous to paying the fee? Any other industry doing that would be sued. I’m gonna sell you a car but you have to pay a fee and run your credit before you can see it?
They are so focused on “septic” and developers, why are they not focused on the community and bringing in better paying jobs?
Doesn’t matter what they build if they don’t come up with some better paying jobs to pay for all these over priced apts and homes they are building.

Council seems to be focusing on the wrong problem.
Are they more concerned that “new” people will move to Delaware, and less concerned about the existing population, and where they are going to live? Oh thats right, lets just slap up some more “luxury” apts and stick us in there.
Another HOOMEBOY scam to rape / steal property owners rights and money just like the so called fee the SFD suggested to imposed that is useless. All they rare doing is stealing money from property owners. The SFD has all these toys they never use or use for their personal taxis. They have no PHSYCAL PT agility test and they remove the VOLUNTEERS and then state look at other big city Fire Depts. They don’t tell you how many VOLUNTEERS these FD have.
QUIT ROBBING THE PROPERTY OWNERS and CHARGE THE HOMEBOYS WHO ARE ATTEMPTING TO GET EVERYBODY ELSE PAY THEIR BILLS.
When they hook municipal water and sewer to anything you are at the mercy of the government and If that bill is not satisfied then guess who assumes ownership?

This all started with the County extending water from the WORWIC water tower, down Walston Switch road, to the Airport. All those property owners along Walston Switch and in Kilburne, get ready because you will be the first connected to a joint city/county water board.
It’s about control. The government wants everyone to live within or in close proximity to cities so that the can control rural land for solar panels and wind turbines.
