All the comments are right about Jake but it goes much deeper and worse. I know his background quite well from those who have known the whole family, and his inability to run a small city such as Salisbury. Let me first say since his 2 terms in office as Mayor things have gotten much worse than they were under Ireton. You don’t see and will never see pictures of him a wife and children. He has been married twice one left and was bought a home in Maryland across the Bay Bridge by his parents to keep her quiet. The second was the one you remember from recent news selling drugs to students at a local school. Both of these wives were victims of fake marriages, he is in fact gay they were props only, please be kind to them. He has dismantled Salisbury with his Annapolis, Inner Harbor dreams, Salisbury was fine as it was before his 2 elections. We have a lot to offer the people of this area. The Festivals have been a disaster number one they are in a bad area of traffic, no place to stretch out and have real attractions, no place fort children to run and hang out safely. Their is the issue of our nasty riverit smells, has in warm weather floating fish, birds, animal carcasses and even yes floating human bodies. Most of this you will not see in pictures, or ads of Salisbury. Anyone who uses the Wicomico here for recreation knows of what I am speaking about, yes our family has been on this water and grew up much farther south. Even the City Park is nasty not like it used to be with paddle boats, fishing and swimming. The roads have been in repair for Jakes 2 terms, the bike paths are the only things growing in number, round abouts, and planters in bad areas for traffic. Some of the businesses up north have been improving in the last year, but do we really need so many places with stacks of tires for sale would they not be better stored somewhere other than along Rt 13 North. Buinesses have left probably 100 by now not just because of Covid. We need to get back to things like maybe farm & home shows with animals for our children to see, where people can display home made items for sale we have many talented people around here. Food areas that are safe to pedestrians where many people can sit & enjoy regional music by local people and bands. It can be done with a good mayor and a city council that doesn’t rubber stamp everything Jake Boy wants. Things can change but if don’t try to correct the wrongs than Salisbury will be more of the ghost town it is becoming. We have Boscov, Kohls, Walmart ,Target and the Dollar Stores bring back real business please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to see I am not the only one that now hates Salisbury. I hope to hell that Jake Day realizes how hard the neighborhoods fought to get Waverly Drive widened and he has come along and made it narrower than it was then. For what to appease the College. Stay tuned the College and Hospital are all going be drastically changed, and Jake Day will probably lose all this Rainbow sidewalk garbage and Black Lives Blvd crap.. No I am not racist just know who is really financing all this crap. Unfortunately, it is not just this town but every town in the Country.
