Upon investigation, the Wicomico County Board of Education, the Superintendent, and its Curriculum Screening Committee continues to fail in its screening process to determine appropriate instructional materials. We have already caught them doing this on numerous occasions, but they fail to do anything about it when a complaint is filed (while hoping you won’t notice). As in Loudoun County VA, the books “Monday’s Not Coming” and “Trending Murder” are also used in Maryland, including Wicomico County Public Schools.

Even though I do not have children, I have wondered if the Delmarva schools had gone woke also. Have the other schools on the peninsula fallen for this crap also?

The male teachers should put on a demonstration for the class with a female student, and when arrested just say they were following an approved book!
heres the thing- I am 100% against censorship of any kind- that being said, what is disheartening is that they replace the great works with such drivel. Young men and young women should lose their imaginations in the Illiad, or challenge their assumptions with Socrates, or be scared silly by the deception of Dante’s hell. But instead of the major works and greats heights of or civilization to challenge and inspire, teachers throw these piddly junk books at kids- it is a deliberate act to keep their minds in a ghetto. Don’t ever show them a cathedral because they may wonder why the school building is such a dump by comparison. Don’t ever let them know about count basie or Beethoven because they might realize the tinny metronome mumbled mouth rap star they idolize is talentless.
