Congresswoman Cori Bush praised a Black Lives Matter activist who called for the death of police officers during a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives Thursday.
The freshman Democrat from Missouri recalled Palestinian-American Bassem Masri’s actions in the wake of the 2014 Ferguson police shooting of Michael Brown Jr., as she likened the bloody conflict in the West Bank with the BML movement, according to Fox News.
Masri, who died in 2018, received national attention for streaming heated exchanges with cops during protests outside the Ferguson Police Department, according to the report.
“I’m praying for your death and your death and your death and your death,” he reportedly said in one viral clip.
Marsi tweeted “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon,” after being arrested, which has been chanted and repeated by other police protestors.
