A pedestrian was transported to a local hospital this week after being hit by a bus in West Ocean City.
On Monday, at approximately 3:30 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the area of Inlet Isle Lane, just west of the Route 50 bridge, for a reported pedestrian collision involving a passenger bus.
The Ocean City Fire Department reports that the bus, carrying approximately 44 people, was traveling westbound when a pedestrian entered the roadway.
First responders were called to the scene, and the pedestrian was transported by ground to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the fire department shared this week. No injuries were reported among the bus’ occupants.
