Last year, while the media was busy crying over Trump’s America First immigration policies, his admin was quietly making a really clever structural change to the way immigration courts operate… and oddly enough, nobody’s really talking about this.
Instead of sitting around pontificating and debating policy until the cows come home, President Trump made a move to change the entire system… and a year later, we can see that it’s working.
But last year the left absolutely flipped out. Reports started circulating that the Trump administration planned to deploy hundreds of military lawyers, known as JAG officers, to serve as immigration judges through the Department of Justice. Left-wingers instantly began warning that the move would reshape immigration courts and change how cases were decided.
Yes, and that’s exactly what we want…
Liberal commentators and pubs predicted chaos, accused the administration of undermining the legal system, and insisted the policy would break immigration courts entirely.
But now, more than a year later, new numbers circulating online suggest it was actually a huge success for us.
Before we get to those numbers, it helps to understand exactly what the lefty was so upset about.
They acknowledged that immigration judges wield a ton of power over whether someone stays in the country or is deported, hence why they were so upset that Trump’s JAG lawyers were now stepping in.
