Salisbury Maryland Water and Sewer Bills

If anyone living in a downtown (like the Plaza and Main Street area) apartment would be willing to share the average amount of their water/sewer bill for two people, I would be very grateful. I believe that I am being very much overcharged and really need an honest comparison. Not looking for personal details, just need some general information. Thank you in advance.

I ran a 4 chair hair salon downtown, we were open 6 days a week, used lots of water, and never had a quarterly bill that high. Someone is being dishonest with you or you have major leak. Has it always been that high? You have the right to see a copy of the usage that is being used. I’d try calling the water company to see how much the usage was.

I live close to downtown in a 4 bedroom home with 2 people. And my bill is about $220 every 3 months. Something is very off. Maybe a toilet running or a leak somewhere? Either way as stated above I would ask to see a print out from your landlord from the city of Salisbury for your water/ sewer bill. If he’s being honest this shouldn’t upset him at all

Does your landlord live within city limits or have additional properties in city limits? Wonder if you are being charged for an additional property to pay someone else’s bill

My son lives in town , 2 people average 225-250. But we got hit with a $900 water bill when we discovered a leaking toilet. Small leaks add up fast.

Your landlord is required to show you a copy of the bill and how it is split amongst tenants if you live in apartment building. It would also depend on what your lease states as far as how your utilities are billed.

In the building I manage, two of the apartments have two residents and their average quarterly water and sewer bill is around $75-$100. This is with washer, dishwasher, and of course, the bathroom and kitchen normal fixtures.
