MSP Warns Against Phone Scam

Maryland State Police are investigating a phone scam involving solicitation of money or “donations” to its department.

MSP released a statement Wednesday saying a woman has reported receiving one phone call from a man who said he was with the department.

Troopers called the number provided by the woman and were sent to voicemail.

Maryland State Police say no one would ever call asking for money for the department and if you receive a call like this to immediately hang up and report it to the Princess Anne Barrack.

  1. The scam phone calls just keep increasing everyday. It is getting ridiculous. Some are even using local businesses and numbers in their scams. Got one today from Perdue Foods on caller ID. Just another scam.
