Is there ANY justice for any victim in Worcester County?
Years ago I wrote an article on the woman in Ocean City in which they found dead babies throughout her property. It was said the reason she was never convicted was because the States Attorney screwed up the case and that was that.
Over the past 5 months Ocean City has experienced two hit and run deaths without any charges filed. Funny how the local police are challenging each other over who can achieve the most DUI’s and stalk local establishments, yet when they have what seems to be open and shut cases of murder they can’t even come up with charges, let alone arrests. “Earlier this week, two Berlin Barrack troopers were recognized for their outstanding DUI enforcement efforts.”
So where is the justice. I’ve heard so many people say, why the hell is anyone walking anyway. The rumors that I’ve been hearing and reading for months now are just incredible. While I’m all about “Justice for Gavin” there are so many others who deserve just as much justice. The two recent deaths were allegedly alcohol related.
If a person has a vehicle that was 100% involved in a hit and run and they purposely HIDE the vehicle in their garage, why hasn’t the property owner been charged with at least obstruction? There’s no justice for anyone! I would think if the States Attorney or police started putting at least normal pressure on these cases they’d perhaps get confessions. Instead they screwed these cases up once again in which suspects are now hiding behind attorneys and the 5th Amendment. It reminds me of the O. J. Simpson case. Instead, Worcester County has the 2nd largest amount of DUI’s in the entire State. Two beers, get pulled over and the local police will do everything in their powers to CONVICT you but get murdered in this County and nothing happens. It’s no wonder we’re called the outhouse of the entire state of Maryland.
Maybe the picketers can picket in front of the State Police Barracks or States Attorneys office. Sure does make more sense to me anyway.
By the way Ocean Pines, stop being Idiots and name the Skate Park after Gavin. WTH is wrong with you people! Fundraisers annually in Gavin’s behalf can only be a positive thing.

There are two sets of laws out there. One for the haves, and all the others.
Been to traffic court and have seen just in one day dui cases thrown out because the person just happened to be the son or daughter of someone rich or a local official in the county.
The rule of law doesn’t apply if you are rich or a powerful government official.

Charges can’t be filed until police finish investigation..as frustrating as it is I’d rather see a slam dunk case then the throw charges at someone and see what sticks..
I call BS – if the SA had anything at all she would have filed charges – what a load of crap. Charge the big shot with obstruction, take him into custody, Jack the bail through the roof and see how fast it all hits the fan.

Really?? Where I come from in MD you have or hide evidence YOU GO TO JAIL RIGHT THEN AND THERE! This whole case isn’t rocket science. They aren’t investigating anymore.

2:27, I doubt there’s any more information/witnesses that they don’t already know about in BOTH cases.
I don’t disagree with what you are saying Joe… but they still have to prove who was driving….if there’s no witness, no video, no confession, even though it’s more or less agreed throughout the county who probably WAS driving, all it takes is one person on a jury to cast doubt… and can the case be tried here??? So much grief, passion, press coverage….if it goes to another county on change of venue how would that impact it??? It’s an unimaginable horrific tragedy that happened…we ALL want the person punished!!! I’m only saying the investigation has to be 100% solid.
My guess is this will probably be settled in civil court.
But if your car gets a ticket from a traffic camera the owner is responsible unless they can prove they were not driving. I would think that would be the same senecio. They say they are investigating, I think they are just hoping the attention dies down so they can brush it under the rug
I agree with everything you’ve said here! Also, Since when is it not acceptable to publicly say they, the prosecutors have “person’s of interest” name them. We all know the names, but, they should still be public info. That being said, who needs a law degree to know that the car was not listed as stolen, so, at the very least the owner should be charged accordingly! ?

If one of my guns were used to kill someone and several days after the shooting law enforcement found the gun in my possession, what do you think would happen if I told them that I did not know who had possession of my weapon at the time that it was used to kill someone? Do you think that they would just say “Oh well, we can’t prove who had the weapon at the time of the crime and let me go free. I suspect that my ass would be in jail until I told them who had possession of the weapon at the time in question and that they would probably get me to talk by charging me with the crime. The only way around that is if the gun had been reported stollen prior to the incident. Was the car in question ever reported stolen?
Rob, nothing was “found”. As I stated, the state police were called the very next morning after the accident and were told exactly where the car was. As for charges, I agree, the whole damn group of them should’ve been charged. The witnesses that saw Tyler leaving the Ocean Pines Yacht Club should’ve easily been able to place him behind the wheel of the vehicle. While we all feel for the Knupp Family, the state police/attorney dropped the ball. ALL attention should be placed on them and not businesses.
Fire all the HOA board members and get decent, credible, honest and people with integrity. People who will enforce rules, not just get paid, get benefits and do nothing about all the violations ignored in OP if you are a buddy. Namely professionals not retired lazy jerks. Arrest and jail all those involved in this cover up, lies and money talks.

They are volunteers. I don’t believe this for one damn minute. And I agree maybe we should protest SA or state police. So they hid the car and plead 5th. All the people who were in Ralph’s house posting up for “family” time together for a month. Celebrating Thanksgiving in August. All 10 or so should be charged with obstruction. They know. We will still be talking about this a year from now, with no resolution or justice for the family. The SA will still be talking about getting an air tight case, and the investigation will still be open. Then, maybe two years down the road the case will be quietly closed. Ole’ Ralphy boy will skip on down the road without a care in the world.
