Good day to each of you,

I wanted to write and let you all know that tomorrow,  September 21st, 2022, the Maryland State Police – Salisbury Barrack will undergo a change in command.

Lieutenant John Revel will be assuming command of the barrack.  Lt. Revel comes to Wicomico County with a wealth of knowledge and experience.  In his career as a Lieutenant, he has seen command of the MSP Forestville Barrack and most recently the MSP Annapolis Barrack.  Lt. Revel is a resident of Wicomico County and he understands the challenges our community faces on a daily basis.

I will be assuming command of the Professional Development Unit (PDU) in Sykesville Maryland under the direct command of the Education and Training Division.  The division is instrumental in coordinating the wide range of personnel services needed to support the operational elements of the Maryland State Police.  My role will be to develop curricula for current members of the command to meet the needs of that state.

The Maryland Department of State Police has supported the efforts and needs of our community for over 100 years.  The certified agency is a full-service law enforcement agency whose sworn and civilian employees are committed to providing the highest quality police services. Our mission is to be a statewide force for a safer Maryland, and our Troopers and civilian support staff are dedicated to fulfilling that mission while upholding our core values of integrity, fairness, and service.

 
Please know, that it has been a pleasure working with you, our local media outlets.  I have enjoyed meeting many of you and learning about your career goals and expectations as you too move through the ever-so-challenging world of media communications.  You have been compassionate during our tragic days of fallen police officers and you have tried your best to take a fair approach to report the news in our community.  To that, I say THANK YOU. (and most of you have honored my request to get my “good side”)

      1. Retired C.O. from ECI

        At ECI mostly those promoted did the following:

        * Multiple DUI arrest & assaults against Law Enforcement for relationship with his wife.

        * One even advance to the Rank of Major , and was known to impersonate POLICE OFFICERS , and pull citizens over with his personal TAURUS vehicle , and issued warnings using ECI stationery.

        * Another person at ECI who was promoted to Captain had been accused ( while wearing and working part time for Princess Anne Police Department). OF being caught in partial uniform having sex with another man’s wife.

        * There are numerous drug involment, use, distributors or Having knowledge of drugs among and between ECI inmates and employees, and nothing was done , and ONE OF THEM NOW H holds a high rank at WCDC.

        * CORRECTIONS were tough enough with out known criminal interference and cover ups by the Administrations at ECI & WCDC

          ALL Wardens were CROOKED !!!! The Best Officers were always Harrassed & Never
          Promoted !!!!

          The Worse Criminals there at ECI were the Upper Management !!! Period

          ECI = Everything Corrupt Inside / Hotel Hell !!!! 60 + Officers DIED from Stress !!!!

          ALL Prisons & Jails are Corrupt Administrations & the Good officers Suffer & are Oppressed

          A Thankless shht job with Never enough $$$ or Backup !!! STAY AWAY !!!!

          In There You are the ONLY police !!! Outside Police are Never there !!! It is ONLY YOU !!!!!

            Yes > there are NO GUARDS as they are called on the outside too often !!!

            This is NOT MayBerry RFD & No Barny Fith !!!! They are Prison Police &

            should be called as such !!! No other Police there but them !!! Need a RAISE !!!

    Congratulations and best wishes to both Lt. Davala and Lt. Revel, both great troopers with many years of experience helping to keep Maryland, especially Wicomico County, safe.

    ALL Police should have to work at ECI for Two Years !!!! Corrections Pay should be Twice the Police pay &
    Twice the Retirement !!!! FACT

    ECI > One could write a BOOK & I hope some Good Officer Retired DOES !!!!

    ONLY the strong survived to RETIRE & be RID of that Terrible HellHole !!!!! PTSD Every Retiree Has !!!!!

    ECI Criminals were Many & the Good officers know them well who had to fight them off daily !!!!

    Dallas Lewis, Kathleen Green , Inkrote , Bittinger , Kimble , Harleston , Kalormakis , Ritchey , Houcke ,
    Cunningham , Williams , Tyler , Vann , to name a Few & there were Many more !!!!

    There is a Place in HELL for them all & someday that’s where they will Go !!!!!! There Will be Justice !!!!!
