It’s time to get out there and vote.  Early voting has already started and everyone who is able, should go vote.  This election cycle has proven to be a dozy and we all need to do our part.  

What do the citizens of Wicomico County want in their leaders?  You have two executive choices of either chaos or civility?  We all know who creates the chaos and revels in it!  How did Julie’s ego get the better of her?  She cannot even admit when she is wrong about anything.  Instead, she doubles down!  The sign of a good leader is someone who can build up their employees and empower them to do the best job possible.  If all your managers are doing is waiting for mistakes to go after employees instead of helping them do the best in their job.  You are the problem.  It’s easy to belittle and remove what may be considered problem employees because it is the easy answer.  If staff aren’t finishing the day’s work on a positive note, look at their support (management) staff.  A good manager can inspire staff, a bad a manger will send all the good employees packing.  

The current administration loves to hire new employees with little practical experience at extremely bloated salaries.  An environmental employee is getting paid more than the superintendent of the landfill.  And there have been primo jobs created for the chosen few, while making statements about other lower paid employees as, “they made their bed, they can lie in it.”   Absolutely no sympathy for their lowest paid employees being able to even pay their bills.  So many county employees have to have a second or even third job just to pay their bills.  While I think many people are dealing with that these days, it shows management only cares about their own perks and couldn’t care less about the people that make them look good daily!  Sometimes a bit of humility can go a long way, unfortunately this current administration has none of that.  Vote for professionalism and calm, Ernie Davis and John Psota.  After all, during John’s tenor you didn’t have the daily drama you have today.  You can decide, chaos or calm.
