You have to wonder what the county residents are getting for these 6 figure salaried employees. Let’s take the executive’s office, two secretaries, two administrative assistant and what are we getting for it? And those two administrative assistants do what exactly? If their job is to advise the executive on her decision-making skills, I would say they have failed miserably. Pick a debacle: the Quarry mess, the Vegas trip, the Nursing home disaster, they should be returning their pay! And that’s with the help of a previous administrator. Maybe it’s time for the county to find a way to cross train employees because there is presently none of that. The attitude is sink or swim in your new job and as a result things get missed.
While we are talking about employees. If you are currently employed with the county, you better pledge undying loyalty to the executive because if she or her minions find out that you “liked” a Facebook post that criticizes her you’re in deep doodoo. And don’t get caught criticizing any of them either because that will make you a target. Remember the Squid Games, it’s like that but over your ability to keep your job.
And who goes by the name BUNKY. It’s one thing as a child but did you know his name is actually Tom? It’s not a hateful name. I actually heard of a kid named shithead. Tom is not so bad that I’d choose Bunky but this is the eastern shore, cornbread, bubba etc.
We mentioned the other day Heather Lankford bringing dogs and puppies to work on a regular basis, Julie Giordano does the same. The image above is Tom “Bunky” Luffman who is paid $150,000.00 a year taking Julie’s dog down the elevator to the ground floor to take him/her for a walk. This is no joke ladies and gentlemen, do any of you take their dog to work? This is the attitude these children have created in a professional work environment. IF you need a mental help support dog, WELL, you probably shouldn’t be a department head, let alone a County Executive.
In closing, I wish there were pay phones on every corner still because I’d be getting even more anonymous phone calls, whistleblowers, but it is what it is. You get my drift. Apparently the dog got aggressive with a citizen in her office resulting in a complaint to the county health officer. Nothing was ever done.
Look at the Civic Center for an example. They are paying a starting salary for a maintenance man maxed at $38,000 a year but they have 3- assistant directors making or making close or over $100,000 a year? Explain that one. And they can’t keep help or find help and depend on 4-5 inmates from ECI for labor.
I think all the ass directors are men correct ?????
No Damn wonder our property taxes are so high. Actually they should be eliminated, I bought and paid for my property, why should I have to pay the county rent on it?
1. The rate you pay in Wicomico is the lowest it’s been, in a long time!
2. The values of your property probably increased that’s why it seems like more.
3. It’s not “rent” it never was rent. If you live in Wicomico you pay for services – Police, Fire, Landfill, SCHOOLS… whether you use them or not.
While it would be great if we only pay for what we use, it doesn’t work that way.
Having seen him in action, I can tell you that he is an overpaid, underperforming, yes-man for queen julie.

The civic center is a joke. The people that run it have no clue what kind of entertainment to get. You are right about high ups making money but doing nothing to bring entertainment for a civic center that just had money spent on improvements on the building and in their pockets. Bring some good bands here and I’m not talking about sitting around tables and eating to watch a band. All you have is dog shows, bingo, and very few music events, flee markets.
the recreation department of wicomico county is the most overpaid dept in this county. if you go upstairs in the civic center you would see overpaid people tripping over each other to see how much comp time they have. they are overstaffed and way overpaid. steve miller lays back in his suite while workman brings the king lunch from back street.
moochie and dave rose did the work for rec and parks that now takes 8 people to do. the county should be proud. steve miller says the hell with tax payer money, i need to make my crummy 120000 salary easier.
