Residents are the ones dumping rotting food INSIDE the recycling bins as well as their trash as seen on these images. People bitch about why the county isn’t recycling, who in their right mind should expect ANY HUMAN BEING to dig through rotten spoiled food to get to a plastic bottle. What volunteers want to sign up for the job? Your leaders need to do a better job and fine the people who are illegally dumping.
Wicomico County doesn’t do any re-cycling from what I hear. I understand re-cycling was canceled by the County Executive shortly after she came into office along with deleting numerous re-cycling locations around the county. Can anyone remark on this issue to see where this has happened around Wicomico County?
First of all the county IS doing recycling and your electronics go into the scrap metal bin. Been that way for years. Are you just focused on the cardboard, bi-metal, aluminum, paper, plastics 1 & 2? Did you know that they also recycle scrap metal, brush, propane tanks, oil, antifreeze, clothing. oyster shells, batteries…what part is not being recycled? Maybe before you go off on a subject you are not familiar with, you do a little research before you start spreading false information. There are still 5 locations to recycle day or night and 11 convenience centers throughout the county to also recycle more than the typical items. Anyone can recycle at those centers as long as your a county resident.
