President Trump’s face is now on a new $1 coin being sold by the US Mint, and collectors will have to shell out more than a buck to get their hands on one.
The Mint is selling the commemorative coins featuring the sitting president as part of its celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, according to its website.
“These coins are also in circulation, so check your pocket change. Collect them today!” the Mint said on X.
The 2026 Semiquincentennial President Donald J. Trump $1 Coin will be released into circulation and available for purchase in bags and rolls, exclusively from the United States Mint.US MintThe Philadelphia-minted currency is available in 25-coin rolls and 100-coin bags, and priced between $61 and $154.50, the Mint said.
One side features a portrait of Trump alongside the inscriptions “liberty” and “in God we trust” in all caps, along with “1776 ~ 2026.”
The portrait was designed by US Mint Chief Engraver Joseph Menna and was inspired by an official White House photograph taken by Daniel Torok, according to the Mint.
