Blue catfish and flathead catfish are being caught in the Conowingo Dam pool and in the lower Susquehanna River.
Spot are still available in many locations throughout the middle Chesapeake: Whitehall Bay, Eastern Bay, the mouth of the Choptank near Black Walnut Point and Cooks Point, the mouth of the Little Choptank, and Chesapeake Beach.
Anglers in the lower Bay are enjoying an exciting run of Spanish mackerel. The numbers and size of the fish are about as good as anyone could hope for, so don’t miss it!

what no mention of chesapeake channa? wtf I look forward to md dnr promoting the catching and eating of this trash species every week! come on dnr stop letting me down! by the way have you looked into why the western portions of the bay are in such bad shape? Maybe some yurts along the shoreline would help.
