The Maryland Department of Natural Resources announces that, following our scoping and proposal process, the following regulation changes will be effective August 31, 2026:

SHELLFISH – GENERAL – Seafood Dealer Declaration RequirementHarvesters who sell their own catch, who are also licensed by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH), are required to declare their intent to deal in shellfish intended for human consumption.
