There is a growing national outcry to ban Flock cameras. We do not give up our constitutional rights when we get into our vehicles, and we do not want authoritarian control freaks watching us, monitoring us and tracking us everywhere that we go.
This is an issue that is uniting people all over the country, and so you would think that politicians from both parties would be getting on board. Unfortunately, that is not the case at all. Many top Republicans are coming out against Flock cameras very strongly, but the silence from the left has been deafening. Yes, there are a few voices on the far left that appear to be concerned about our civil liberties, but most prominent Democrats have been eerily silent about Flock cameras. Why is that?
If you want cameras to watch you everywhere that you go, move to China.
Get a press pass. Get a video camera.
Go sit in front of your favorite POS politician’s home. Follow them everywhere. Their families. Their kids.
As “investigative journalists” we have 1st Amendment Protections.” If the cops get belligerent, do the same to them.
Use their rules against them.

not saying that you are wrong, but what 1st Amendment protection is actually being violated by these cameras? Legitimately asking. And I dont think this is a “rule” to use against the cops to get back at them. Most of them did not know the cameras were coming to the area much longer then the public knew. And the same people complaining now are some of the same complaining that police needed body cameras. So the police have been documented day in and day out almost every minute of their work day, whether they want the camera turned on or not. Everything they say or do while interacting with the public is audio and video recorded, so standing in front of them and their kids recording while they are at home may get you nothing but loose teeth. Again, not saying you are wrong about the cameras crossing the line, but be specific about the intrusion. The camera decision and to put them up was done way above the pay grade of police officer.
