(LINKWOOD, MD) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early this morning in Dorchester County.
The deceased is identified as a five-year-old female. An additional victim, a 30-year-old male, was flown by Maryland State Police Aviation Command to a local trauma center for treatment of his injuries.
Around 2:17 a.m., troopers from the Maryland State Police Easton Barrack responded to a residence in the 3900-block of Ocean Gateway for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival on the scene, troopers located two victims with suspected gunshot wounds.
Investigators from the Maryland State Police Homicide Unit responded to the scene. Crime Scene Technicians from the Maryland State Police Forensic Sciences Division additionally processed the scene for evidence.
