Comedian and podcast host Adam Carolla used a recent episode of his podcast to criticize Zohran Mamdani, members of “the Squad,” and other progressive political figures, arguing that controversies surrounding them consistently reinforce accusations of anti-American and antisemitic views rather than contradict them.
During the discussion, Carolla said that when new information surfaces about politicians he associates with what he described as a newer generation of left-wing leaders, it rarely changes public perceptions in a positive way. Instead, he argued, each new revelation tends to involve old social media posts, controversial associations, or statements that critics view as further evidence of their political beliefs.
Whenever these people, Zoran or anyone in the squad, anyone in that sort of Islamic youth kind of new wave politician, all that group who gets accused, and their wives and their friends and everyone they they point to be housing ambassador and economic collator and blah blah blah. It only goes one direction,” Carolla said.
He argued that the pattern, in his view, is one in which additional information only adds to existing criticism.
