NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council of Wicomico County, Maryland, will convene in open session on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., in the Government Office Building, Room 301, Salisbury, Maryland for the purpose of entertaining a vote to go into Closed Session to discuss an administrative function pertaining to the Wicomico Nursing Home, which, pursuant to Section 3-103 (a) (1) (i) is not subject to the Open Meeting Act. Should any aspect of the Closed Session not to be an administrative function, then the purpose of entertaining a vote to go into Closed Session is to discuss a personnel matter that affects one or more specific individuals at the Wicomico Nursing Home, in accordance with Sections 3-104 and 3-305(b)(1) of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
The regularly scheduled Legislative Session will commence at 6 p.m.
Maybe they are discussing the female administrator there that has little regards for her staff or family members. Quite the entitlement type.
I applied and interviewed there, years ago and God blessed me with a rejection. I went on to land a job paying twice their wage.
Staff was a weird mix of arrogant and uneducated, despite their degrees.
I couldn’t believe who the chosen admin was at that time.
A family member was there for rehab and it was an absolute joke.
What do you expect from a county with a 15% poverty rate, and a city with 25%, and one of the highest tax rates.
Please, let the lawsuits begin!
