Maryland Fishing Report

Chesapeake Channa, also known as northern snakeheads, are entertaining anglers in the upper sections of the upper Bay’s tidal rivers. Shallow grass beds are the most frequented areas for this invasive predator.

Bluefish continue to be a good fishing option in the middle and lower Bay. A few Spanish mackerel have shown up in the lower Maryland waters and may move into the middle Bay soon.

White perch are holding in the tidal rivers and creeks and can be found near structure in the form of docks, piers, oyster reefs, and submerged rocks.
