Country superstar John Rich has been tapped by President Trump to serve as a Special Envoy for American Landowners, the Agriculture Department (USDA) announced in a press release this week.
Rich hoppedon X on June 8 to tell fans how honored he was to serve as a conduit between the federal government and the long-silenced voices of farmers, ranchers, and other landowners.
The post, which ended with an emoji of an American flag, read:
President Trump has afforded me the great honor to serve in his administration as the “Special Envoy for American Landowners.” In this role, I look forward to representing and advocating for landowners’ rights against any entity that chooses to harass or intimidate them in an effort to achieve goals contrary to those of the President. I look forward to defending our farmers and ranchers
Rich already seems aware of some of the issues with which many farmers and landowners are burdened in relation to the Left’s wrongheaded green energy policies. For example, on June 7, he wrote on an X post by GOP gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman:
A fight for the ages is brewing over the destruction of Upstate New York’s farmland. I’ll put my boots on the ground there soon. @GovKathyHochul is allowing foreign entities to overrun American farmers with 50 square miles of Chinese solar panels. “Love Thy Neighbor” is now the official battle cry.
