This describes me perfectly-until I was forced to raise two grandchildren due to drug addicted parents. My serenity and solitude period is over before it ever got a good start.
My retirement surely isn’t what I had planned either, but I will be Ok. Somebody has to help family members when needed and I will do what I can. One day I may need help. May plan for leisure is on hold right now. I’m only 70, so maybe it’s still possible. If not, I have a good clear conscious.
