New Details Emerge on Activist Judge Who Apologized to Trump’s Would-Be Assassin

You’ve probably heard the headline by now: a federal magistrate judge apologized in open court to the man accused of trying to assassinate President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

That part is shocking enough, right?

But the other shocking part is who this judge really is and why so many Americans looked at this story and immediately thought: here we go again.

This situation felt like yet another judicial moment when a radical left-wing judge bends over backward for criminals, extremists, and political violence suspects while acting as if conservatives are enemies of the state.

The judge’s name is Zia Faruqui. He’s a U.S. magistrate judge in Washington, D.C. He was sworn in back in 2020 by then-Chief Judge Beryl Howell, an Obama-appointed federal judge. So, yes, he’s part of Team Barry, which probably won’t surprise many people. He’s supposedly the first Pakistani-American and Muslim magistrate judge in the D.C. federal court system. You know how Dems love their firsts… they’re way more important than actual experience or expertise.
