Contrary to the Narrative, Illegals in Tennessee Have Been Behaving BADLY

You know, there is this well-worn phrase that gets trotted out the second one objects to the presence of any illegal who has committed a crime in addition to the one of their presence here (that is dismissed as ‘a misdemeanor, if that’). We are told that one bad, or even truly horrific, apple does not indict a generally amiable and remarkably law-abiding barrelful.

Debunking the Myth of  Immigrants and Crime

…However, a robust body of research shows that welcoming immigrants into American communities not only does not increase crime, but can actually strengthen public safety. In fact, immigrants — including undocumented immigrants — are less likely to commit crimes than the U.S.-born. This is true at the national, state, county, and neighborhood levels, and for both violent and non-violent crime.

What is conveniently overlooked every time one of these types sanctimoniously intones the memorized line is the fact that had that illegal miscreant not been here at all, as it was meant to be, there would have been no crime at all to discuss.

That’s the crux of the problem.

Not that they supposedly commit fewer crimes than the citizen population, but that they are here in the first place to do so, period.
