Danny Conservative: Democrats’ immigration policies have caused much more death and violence than ICEBy Christopher TremoglieJanuary 28, 2026 9:33 am Washington Examiner (Article and Response)

Article Responding To:
#OPINION: The fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti have led to increased calls to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other illegal immigration enforcement operations. Liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left, combined with the socialist and communist organizations organizing and funding anti-ICE protests nationwide, have escalated their attacks on ICE — verbally and physically, calling them murderers, among other insults. And while criticism continues to mount, it is important to recognize truth and fact because while Good’s and Pretti’s deaths were unfortunate, Democrats’ immigration policies have caused more violence and murders than anything ICE has done.
Response:

Pro Illegal Immigration Policies / Sanctuary County & State policies for the past 15 and half years across the Country and States like Maryland have caused a whole lot more death and violence to individuals than what has recently happened in Minnesota.

In October of 2010 “famously” former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley coined the phrase “New Americans” for undocumented immigrants in the State. When President Biden Administration came to office in 2021 they took immigration in a “different direction” than the previous Trump Administration, being “more accepting” of illegal immigration. Democrat leaders in Annapolis and “Sanctuary Counties and Cities” have worked with the organization CASA in implementing policies that “restricted” State and County Law Enforcement from coordinating and communicating with ICE.

The results of these policies in Maryland have led to MS 13 opening up shop in the State in Counties like Montgomery, Prince Georges, and Baltimore City. Where they have committed horrific acts of violence and murders…

Women across the Country in States like California with Kate Steinle, Georgia with Laken Riley, and in Maryland Rachel Morin. All 3 innocent women, one walking with her dad, and the other 2 were jogging, were murdered by a violent criminal alien who had no business being in our Country but they were thanks to “Pro Illegal Immigration/ Sanctuary State Policies”.. .

Now the 2 individuals who were recently killed in Minnesota working to “Resist” ICE operations “Trained and Encouraged” “agitators” Rene Good, and Alex Pretti who were “intentionally interfering” in  law enforcement operations.

ICE Border CZAR Tom Homan was in Minnesota today, he is saying that ICE operations would go “smoother” with cooperation from State & Local officials in the State.

Just like in June of 2025 the State of Minnesota there was cooperation between the Justice Department along with State and Local Law Enforcement worked together on:

“Nine Members of 36th and Penn “Big Sip” Drug Trafficking Organization Indicted on Fentanyl Conspiracy and Firearms Charges

“Nine defendants have been indicted on federal fentanyl and firearms charges for their involvement in the “Big Sip Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO)” — a violent drug trafficking organization that that sold out of at least five apartment buildings near the intersection of 36th Avenue North and North Penn Avenue in Minneapolis, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson.

“Today marks the federal takedown of yet another dangerous criminal organization. And we will not stop,” said Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson. “The Big Sip drug trafficking organization wreaked havoc at 36th and Penn, bringing guns, violence, and deadly fentanyl to neighborhood apartment buildings. The law abiding people of Minneapolis deserve better. I am proud of the federal, state, and local team that came together to protect the neighborhood from this fentanyl trafficking organization.”

“This case is the result of an investigation conducted by the ATF, FBI, Minneapolis Police Department, and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office.

Assistant U.S. Attorney William C. Mattessich is prosecuting the case.”

Now imagine these kinds of results if ICE was getting cooperation & coordination like this, the way the DOJ / FBI is with State and Local Law Enforcement…
