Suspect in Custody After Allegedly Biting Off Federal Agent’s Finger in Minnesota

The attack occurred on Saturday after the fatal shooting of an armed man by federal agents.

A protester was arrested in Minnesota on Saturday after allegedly biting a finger off a Homeland Security Investigations agent.

The agent will permanently lose the finger, according to a post on X by Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

McLaughlin posted images of the severed finger and two individuals in custody, but she did not specify which suspect bit the agent. She did, however, say both the individuals in the photos assaulted law enforcement officers.

Attorney General Pam Bondi also mentioned the incident Saturday evening in a post on X, saying the suspect is in custody.

“I have directed my federal prosecutors to file charges for this HEINOUS assault on our brave law enforcement officer,” Bondi wrote.

Further details on the assault or the suspect’s identity have not been released as of publication.
