Hello,
I write to the Maryland Ethics Commission about a concern of the recent actions of Maryland Housing Secretary Jake Day. In November of 2025 his actions on Social Media.
He called the Elected Mayor of Salisbury Randy Taylor a “Bigot” for the Mayors decision to have “Pride Crosswalks” painted over in the City..
Now we know elected officials, name call, and even use profanity for “Sensationalism, Clicks, and Fundraising Stunts”.. some recent examples:
Wes Moore “IDGAF” on people concerned about redrawing Marylands Congressional Map.
Salisbury City Council woman Michele Gregory, saying “F You” to people who support President Trump & ICE..
These “theatrics” have drawn criticism, by their critics, however elected officials are elected by the voters, so a different set of rules for them…
However Secretary Day should be “held accountable” for what he said, he’s not an elected official anymore, he’s a Cabinet Secretary for the Governor, a State employee calling an elected Mayor a “Bigot”…. State employees have different rules than for “Elected Officials”
Back in 2020 an Employee who worked for the Hogan Administration Mac Love was fired from job with the State of Maryland for defending Kyle Rittenhouse in Social Media posts..
Kyle Rittenhouse, was “Aquitted” in his trial however Mr Love lost his job, and his career and finances suffered from what happened to him.
I understand that Governor Moore may not “Give a Fu-ck” about the way his staff behaves, however their are rules and standards that State employees are held to, and I hope this is looked into because it should be.
Thank You and Respectfully,
Dan
maryland ethics in government? seriously you got to be kidding! there is no place for ethics in the DemonicRats agenda of screwing you the taxpayer again and again and again and again……
Jake Day is anti straight his wife left him because he is a cuckhold
I guess being Gay in Annapolis gives you the right to harass straight people in Salisbury
