The State of Maryland is currently in the hole by $1.4 Billion Dollars. Since 2024 the State has increased Taxes and Fees by $2 Billion Dollars on businesses and working families. Energy rates and Property Taxes have been increased as well since 2023.
Why can’t this $2.7 Billion Dollars of unclaimed money be used to close that deficit, bring relief to businesses and families on their energy rates and property taxes as well?
For once can our leaders in Annapolis do something responsible with money? Instead of doling out a $Billion dollars one day after it was announced the State was $3 Billion in the hole the day prior, which is what literally happened in January of this year….
