During the holiday season, fundraisers to help those in need are a common occurrence. But a recent attempt to tug at the heartstrings to help families in need has been exposed as yet another attempt to pad the coffers of someone decidedly not in need.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) recently sent out an email asking supporters to donate for a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway in New York City.
The message read, “Thanksgiving is two weeks away. Will you chip in $5 or anything you can today to help us bring the joy of the holiday season into homes around NYC this year?”
The link, however, goes straight to the Democrat fundraising platform, ActBlue, and contributes directly to her campaign.
No surprise there. lies and more lies
