During Monday ICE operations in Charlotte, North Carolina, a U.S. citizen was arrested for allegedly assaulting officers and taking them on a high-speed car chase.
According to DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin, “this individual looks like he was a transgender individual, part of some anti-ICE group.”
Border Patrol Commander Greg Bovino spoke with FreedomNews.tv at the scene of the suspect’s arrest, saying, “This individual assaulted federal officers at a gas station about a mile away and then engaged officers in a high-speed pursuit, failed to yield to our lights and sirens.”
The incident wasn’t the first time somebody has interfered with ICE’s “Operation Charlotte’s Web” in North Carolina as dozens of activists have impeded on federal agent’s activities since Saturday.
Of course, leftist lies are fueling the hatred for immigration officials.
For example, a viral social media post from Charlotte falsely claimed ICE shot a Hispanic man when he actually “had a panic attack and was taken to the hospital where he attempted to escape by climbing into the ceiling tiles from the hospital bathroom,” according to McLaughlin.
“He was unsuccessful and was apprehended inside the ceiling by law enforcement He has a prior arrest for assault,” she added.
