Zelensky’s Impossible Demands: NATO Membership, $1 Trillion in Reparations Ahead of Trump-Putin Summit

  • Zelensky’s unrealistic demands—NATO membership, $1 trillion in reparations, and no territorial concessions—risk prolonging Ukraine’s losing war.
  • Russian forces continue advancing in Donbas as Ukraine suffers heavy losses, yet Zelensky refuses to negotiate.
  • Trump is pushing for a decisive deal with Putin, potentially sidelining Zelensky if he obstructs peace efforts.
  • European leaders, despite economic struggles, back Zelensky’s hardline stance, but they lack the resources to sustain it.
  • Zelensky’s defiance may lead to a Trump-Putin deal without Ukraine’s input, sealing the country’s grim fate.

(Natural News)—With the historic Trump-Putin summit in Alaska set for Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scrambling to ensure his country isn’t sidelined in negotiations that could decide its fate. But his latest demands for NATO membership, $1 trillion in Russian reparations, and no territorial concessions reveal a desperate leader clinging to an unwinnable war while squeezing billions more from U.S. taxpayers.

Zelensky, fresh from a Berlin meeting with European leaders and a virtual call with President Trump, outlined his “red lines” ahead of the Alaska summit. Yet his conditions are so unrealistic they risk prolonging a conflict that has already cost Ukraine a generation of men and left its economy in ruins.

  1. NATO membership would be a good thing for them – but they should earn it on their own,
One square inch of land ceded (except Crimea – that is on the other administrations) to Russia makes this another Neville Chamberlain moment.

Selling weapons to Europe to give to Ukraine is the right idea – make them defend themselves – just like Lend-Lease….

  2. Just a few short years ago Ukraine was the most corrupt country in Europe. Why does anyone think that has suddenly changed? Yes, Ukraine is fighting against big, bad Russia, but isn’t that kind of like Clyde Barrow fighting against Alphonse Capone?

  3. nato? are you a f’n moron? didnt we almost go to war with the soviet union in the 60’s cause they were putting nukes on our doorstep? Think maybe that’s russias concern? western nukes on their doorstep? no nato for the most corrupt country/leader on the planet! the elites want the resources in ukraine and the ability to launder money into their personal fortunes! if you are so enraptured with ukraine I suggest you go over their and fight for your beliefs! stay in touch and let me know how that works out for you!
