Wicomico County (and friends) Visited The White House

Letter To The Editor

I see Julie posted on her personal FB page that she is taking a vacation day again instead of doing her duties as an elected official! She is visiting the White House with some friends. She has no access to the Whitehouse not opened to the public nor did she post pics of Trump or his staff!!

Today is a County Council Meeting with a work session and she should have attended that meeting to be available to participate and/or answer questions. She had a seat at the table but quit attending after fighting with the council President and other council members!

You know she drove our county SUV up there and burnt our county gas! She never leaves home without that county SUV and County credit cards and spending cards! Is anyone going to do a FOIA request on her county credit cars and spending cards?

Can someone explain to the viewers from Wicomico County how Julie’s free vacation day benefits the the taxpayers of Wicomico County? You know the President or his staff called Julie about working on some important county “issues.” Is Julie taking time off or abusing her position as an elected official? Posting that it was an honor being there and “Representing Wicomico County” doesn’t make it an official work day! Posting the hashtag #Wicomicocountystrong doesn’t mean it’s a work day or official county business!

How is this a work day when Julie posted pictures of of some of her Delmarva Conservative Movement friends? Is Julie or the county going to be held liable if her DCM friends get injured in the event of an accident? Did they sign a waiver? Is there a Wicomico County policy about nongovernmental employees riding in county vehicles? If not there should be!

Is Julie going to pay back to the taxpayers for the gas, mileage and wear and tear on our county vehicle?

How does Julie keep getting away with this?

?? What an amazing experience visiting the White House! ??

Walking through those historic halls, you can’t help but feel the weight of the moments and decisions that have shaped our nation. It was truly an honor to be there and represent Wicomico County on such a meaningful level. From the iconic architecture to the powerful sense of purpose in every room, this visit reminded me why public service matters and how important it is to keep striving for positive change.

Grateful for the opportunity, the conversations, and the unforgettable memories. Truly a day I’ll never forget! #WhiteHouseVisit #Honored #PublicService #WicomicoCountyStrong“
