Under President Trump, Democrats are lost. There’s no other way to put it. They’re used to the historical GOP that regularly used to shoot itself in the foot, back-bite, and lose. Trump has single-handedly changed that. On Thursday, the Republican-led Congress pushed through the biggest win of Trump’s second term—the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” This early victory will propel Trump’s agenda forward at a massive rate—codifying tax cuts, closing the border, ramping up deportations, and clearing the way for economic growth. As Trump continues to bring in dominant wins for Republicans, leaders in the Democrat party are left spinning.
With the “Dems in disarray” narrative continuing to percolate, I’m beginning to wonder how much more House Leader Hakeem Jeffries has left in the tank. In the fight against the BBB, “Temu Obama” went to the House floor to waste a lot of speaking time before the bill’s final passage—which it did! The stunt left one Democrat operative and co-host of 2Ways’ “The Morning Meeting,” Dan Turrentine, disgusted.

If @RepJeffries floor speech delaying antics pleases the base, who demand we “fight” everything, then clearly we have further to fall. That was utterly pointless politically and substantively. Total beltway nonsense. Can we please have strategies and tactics that try to move the public or impact the debate?
