Teen behind Baltimore’s worst mass shooting in history learns his fate after 30 people shot during party

One of the teenagers behind Baltimore’s worst-ever mass shooting has been sentenced to ten years in jail.

Tristan Jackson was involved in the ‘Brooklyn Day’ bloodbath which killed two and injured 28 others during a block party in the Brooklyn Homes area of the city in 2023.

He pleaded guilty to four charges last month including including second-degree assault, use of a firearm in a crime of violence, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, and a minor in possession of a firearm,  Fox Baltimore reports.

He was sentenced to 45 years in jail, with all but ten years suspended as part of a plea deal. Jackson will be eligible for parole after serving five years.

The state had sought a 50-year sentence suspended to 12 years.

Aaliyah Gonzalez, 18, and Kylis Fagbemi, 20, were killed when gunfire erupted at the party on July 2, 2023.

Dozens more people were injured, including 15 minors some of whom were as young as 13.
