Largemouth bass in many areas of the state are responding to warmer water temperatures and longer photoperiod and entering their pre-spawn mode of behavior. They are aggressively feeding, and the female largemouth bass are especially hungry and need to build up body stores for the upcoming spawning season.

Atlantic Ocean and coastal bays anglers should see some black drum in the surf this week or next, it is that time of the year.

The white perch spawn is running strong and the fishing is excellent in rivers across Maryland.
