Maryland is running a $3 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit for the 2025 Legislative Session.
In January of 2023 Maryland Governor Wes Moore and his Administration inherited a $5 Billion Dollar surplus from the Hogan Administration.
To close this budget deficit, Governor Moore’s budget includes a $Billion Dollars of Tax and Fee Increases, if this bill passes, this would be another $Billon Dollars of Tax and Fee Increases on Marylands Small Businesses.
Meaning a total of $2 Billion Dollars of Tax and Fee Increases on Marylands Small Businesses and Working Families. This would be largest Tax Increase in the history of the State!
Democrats in Annapolis and Governor Moore’s bad decision making is what has gotten Maryland into this financial disaster!
Please make your voices heard this week to leaders in Annapolis, to stand up for small businesses and oppose:
MD 2025 SB 1045 / HB 1554 Sales and Use Tax – Taxable Business Services – Alterations
It has never been this bad! Every thing is truly on the line right now in the State of Maryland!
I’m doing my part. It is SHAMEFUL that he won’t work with President Trump because if he did Maryland would begin to prosper and all these fees and taxes could be eliminated.
DEMOCRATS in this State – are you paying attention? You outnumber us but we are begging you to listen. Call Governor Moore and VOTE Republican. PLEASE?????
F md…. I’m moving no plans to ease taxes on anyone.
Well, elections have consequences… Over 5 billion and counting.
Stand by kids! Wicomico Executive and Council are getting ready to pull the rug out from taxpayers with the “except for school funding (a.k.a option 2)” trick!
If they do, we’ll NEVER see the end! It’ll always be an end around the county’s revenue cap AND ensure endless WBOE money grab.
