State Recklessly Destroys Signs And Windows On Old Ocean City Road In Parsonsburg Maryland

While my building has been around since the 1940’s, this kind of damage has never happened in the past. Snow plows came way too close to the building and pretty much destroyed everything it its path.

The large sign in the last picture is way off the road and as you can see it literally wiped it out, all of which was captured on our video surveillance cameras as well as our neighbor across the street.

Time will tell if the state will step up and pay for the damage. Three windows were also destroyed as well as one large window cracked.

  1. It’s a shame that these state employees don’t get in that big of a hurry when they are doing regular maintenance work on the highways. In Worcester County all they do is ride around with 4 people in the truck all day long

  2. that’s nothing 729. wicomico county employees are the best in the country at getting out of work. they spend most of their time figuring out how they can do nothing. our county roads dept. may not be bad but recreation and parks more than makes up for it. lets start at the civic center. all employees are a supervisor or a specialist or both – everybody has a title and that makes them important and entitles them to a very nice paycheck. the tourism dept. is a waste of money – people are trying to get the hell out of here, not visit here. now the bunch who are supposed to maintain our parks are in a league of their own. they get a work order each morning giving them their orders for the day. if it takes a half hour to do it that’s fine – they just go to winterplace park and hang out there til 230 and then head back to owens branch and wait for punch out time. most of their heavy work is done at wawa and royal farms each day. (never could understand why they couldn’t stop at the store on the way to work) . this is what happens when you are a govt worker and especially an unsupervised gov’t worker. in the eyes of the supervisors – out of sight out of mind. Steve and Chuck should be held accountable for wasting thousands of tax payers $ but they’re not. And 1 more thing before i go, WHAT’S THE PLAN FOR THAT $90,000 sprayer they bought that has never been used?
