The newly appointed Democratic National Committee vice chair has shared social media posts calling for the abolishment of ICE and for police funding to be cut.
David Hogg, 24, is an emerging voice in the Democratic Party, having become a vocal gun-control activist after surviving the 2018 Parkland High School shooting.
He was confirmed over the weekend after campaigning to win back young voters who drifted from the Democrats in last year’s presidential election.
Now, previous X posts of his have gone viral as conservative activists are picking apart his digital footprint.
In one of his past posts, Hogg proudly labels himself as being one of the ‘most politically toxic people in the country’ and deems himself ‘too radical for American politics’.
He goes on to say that Americans ‘need’ a universal healthcare system, free college for all and for the legalization of all drugs.
In another post, dated September 2022, he said he would prefer to own a Porsche and a pair of pure-bred dogs than have children.
Hogg wrote: ‘I’m never planning on having kids. I would much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle.’
