It’s 2025. Can the left stop promoting the worst versions of the female sex now, please?
The fires engulfing Los Angeles are devastating and heartbreaking and also the most “California” thing to happen in the state obsessed with promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion over competence. When you see the flames destroy homes and businesses, it’s impossible not to be empathetic to the lives that are being destroyed. The scale of the damage won’t be known right now, but we are witnessing hundreds of thousands of affected people and tens of thousands of homes wiped out.
Still, it’s obvious to anyone not blinded by the left’s propaganda that it’s a bad look for women leaders. It’s infuriating as a woman that the left keeps promoting the most incompetent members of my sex to serve as the marker for societal progress. It would be easier to sell their golden DEI calf if they could be counted on during emergencies, but that’s been far from the case in the LA fires.
As the fires roared, LA Mayor Karen Bass was on vacation in Ghana for President John Dramani Mahama’s inauguration. I remember when Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz was called heartless for taking his family to Cancun during a terrible Texas storm despite there being little he could do to help. Bass is the first person in charge in LA in the case of an emergency, and the media barely mentioned her Ghana trip.
