Maryland Republican Nino Mangione slammed for not turning in cousin Luigi for UnitedHealthcare shooting

The suspect in last week’s high-profile shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson is related to a Republican politician.

Maryland State Delegate Antonio ‘Nino’ Mangione, 37, is the cousin of 26-year-old Luigi Mangione, who was arrested Monday at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania in connection with the crime.

A member of the House of Delegates since 2019, the elder Mangione has yet to address the arrest.

As word spread that Mangione had been detained, Fox News hosts Sandra Smith and Jeanine Pirro reported on the revelation in real-time.

‘Another twist in this story, this just into our newsroom, the suspect’s cousin is a Maryland State Delegate,’ Smith said on the air.

‘This is now being confirmed, the suspect’s cousin is a Maryland State Delegate, Antonio D. Mangione – goes by Nino.’

Smith proceeded to criticize the politician, asking how someone of his status had not already turned the Ivy League grad in.

‘How was it possible there wasn’t anyone, anywhere in the country who was saying, that person’s in my family, I know that guy?’ she said.

Former FBI investigator Bill Daly, joining the hosts as a guest, appeared to agree, pointing to how photos of the younger Mangione’s face were sent out across the country.

  1. WOW–this is why ANY media platform, including FOX, deserves no credibility in its reporting. Considering that much of any early information of a crime is not readily or fully disclosed by authorities in their efforts to work a case, especially one of this magnitude, the two referenced FOX mouthpieces have lowered themselves to the bottom feeding level—even below maybe MSNBC and CNN, along with numerous other whale crap bottom feeder media. Many years ago I stopped listening, and definitely stopped affording any level of credibility, to ALL media regardless of their presumed political leanings. I have immediate cousins who live in very close proximity to me and I have not seen or heard from for over 50 years. I could not even identify them by name much less by facial photos. This is very disconcerting that the comment has been aired by a “JUDGE” and a “REPORTER” for FOX . Very disappointing, but not unexpected anymore today. Two sides of the same nickel. Never changes does it?

  2. Fake news will take any opportunity to smear a conservative Republican and also to cover up an attack on a conservative Republican. Cut the CATV cord!
