Jan. 6 Capitol Riot Case Takes a Stunning Twist as New Evidence Turns to Haunt Back on Biden

The fatal shooting of 35-year-old Ashli Babbitt during the January 6 Capitol riot has resurfaced in the public eye, shedding light on the events surrounding her death and raising questions about the response of law enforcement agencies.

Despite receiving little attention from the Jan. 6 committee, new evidence has emerged, prompting scrutiny of the actions of Capitol Police officer Lt. Michael Byrd and casting a shadow over the Biden administration’s handling of the incident.

On that fateful day, as rioting engulfed the Speaker’s Lobby hallway, a security video revealed the efforts of FBI medics, Capitol Police tactical officers, and paramedics to save Babbitt’s life.

However, the footage also captured the moment when Lt. Michael Byrd, armed with a Glock pistol, emerged from his concealed position and fatally shot Babbitt as she attempted to climb through a window, The Epoch Times reported on Wednesday, May 1.
