  1. its shocking to read the capital improvement budget and see all the money that is being wasted on the salisbury airport. $68,027,350 in the next five years. that’s more money than is being spent on any other county department. more money being spent at the airport than is being spent on public works and more money being spend than on schools. what is so critical to the future of wicomico county that $68 million dollars needs to be spent on that airport over the next 5 years???

    1. Lots of money wasted at the Civic Center like 4 plus million for a roof ! That is just a crazy figure. Can we see why we need all the upper management in this building? Revenue intake at the place is a fraction to what it once was but it made front page news on the millions gonna be spent in improvements. Just a worthless cash cow like the airport.

      1. Can for the life of me can someone tell me who I need to contact about the filth in the Ladies bathroom at Pemberton Historical Park. There is cobwebs on the ceiling and the toilets have encrusted feces in them and the bowls are horrible. Looks like there should be contact information for problems but I guess I will contact my councilman and Executive like me and my avid walker family did and finally get the road going into the park repaired.

  2. If the county needs to save some cash all they have to do is look no further than our unbelievable recreation and parks dept. That group is in a league of their own. The fine folks stealing taxpayer money while “working” at the civic center and tourism is one thing but the group who is supposed to be doing park maintenance is another. The guy with the long beard is 74 and says he is gonna put in another 10 years and i don’t blame him (there is nothing for him to do). the 400 lb guy needs help getting in and out of his county truck which usually only stops at convenience stores. The superintendent of parks needs to retire from whatever it is he’s supposed to be doing. The favorite saying of the group is “this ain’t in my job description”. To say there is a huge waste of money over there is an understatement. Rec and parks is overfunded and underworked. Miss G needs to take a look see. Bob Culver did and when he saw what was going on made changes.
