“Is the best of the free life behind us now?”
Merle Haggard asked in a haunting 1982 country music hit song.
Nine years earlier, Haggard had scoffed at potheads and draft dodgers in a White House performance for President Richard Nixon.
But, reflecting widespread loss of faith in the American dream in the 1970s, his “free life” song lamented Nixon’s lies, the Vietnam debacle and the ravages of inflation.
The “free life” question helped inspire me 30 years ago to write a book titled Lost Rights, chronicling how “Americans’ liberty is perishing beneath the constant growth of government power.”
When I recently updated the political damage report in a book titled Last Rights, the late 20th century seemed practically a golden era of freedom in hindsight.
We are Strong & Will take out the Threats to America !!!! Land of the FREE / Home of the BRAVE !!!! FACT
You show your ignorance. Why do you think it has gotten this bad? Because people like you who do nothing to affect any kind of change but complain about it. You can’t stop something that controls the world and has a world agenda!
The threat is not Rights being infringed upon as much as people have mistaken them for the Right to do whatever they want when they want to get what they please. It’s no one’s right to make gains at the expense of others and no one’s right to speak falsities and slanders freely. We no longer even have the Right to clean air and Free water which is what you would think would be the most basic of Rights. The Rights people seem to be most cultishly obsessed with is that they are personally RIGHT in their thoughts and somehow further entitled than those they believe to be WRONG and that’s how none of this works and how we have gotten to this point.
Illegals will be vanishing 2025 > MASS DEPORTATIONS !!!!!!
Yeah just cry and let it happen like the slaves you all are.
