A Georgia high school football coach has been charged with murder after he admitted to strangling his girlfriend to death during an argument inside her Maryland home.
Carl Kearney Jr., 43, turned himself in to the Prince George’s County police on Saturday morning, authorities said.
He walked into the police station and told officers he strangled his girlfriend, 38-year-old Patrina Best, inside her Accokeek home earlier that morning.
Police conducted a welfare check at her home in the 800 block of St. James Court. and pronounced Best dead on the scene.
