As reported by Washington Examiner on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, republican lawmakers recently called for Protasiewicz’s recusal from a redistricting motion due to her criticism of Wisconsin’s electoral maps during her campaign.
The effort to revamp Wisconsin’s electoral system is spearheaded by Democratic superlawyer Marc Elias, whose firm received over $680,000 for legal services in 2023 from left-wing groups supporting Protasiewicz.
