ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Wes Moore released the following statement regarding the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit’s decision to re-hear argument in the case of Maryland Shall Issue v. Wes Moore.
“I welcome the court’s decision to rehear this important case. Common sense gun laws are vital to my administration’s commitment to keeping guns out of the wrong hands and saving lives. Since day one I’ve been clear—we have to do more than offer thoughts and prayers when it comes to addressing gun violence and I refuse to be a governor that just stands by and attends funerals while our communities continue to be terrorized.
Every Marylander has the right to feel safe in their own neighborhood. We will continue to work in partnership with the state legislature, local leaders, advocates, and community members to introduce common-sense legislation that makes Maryland’s communities safer.”
These people are SO stupid. The law abiding citizen is the one being harmed…do they actually think that a CRIMINAL will suddenly wake up and say, oh yeah, I better take a class before I can legally purchase a firearm…they are criminals because they DO NOT OBEY LAWS. How about locking their A$$es up to keep them off the streets? Get rid of Maryland Justice Reinvest Act-it has done nothing but make this state even more of a $hithole than used to be!
What this Mooron calls common-sense is a blatant violation of the 2nd Amendment and should be struck down,
The justices already ruled on a similar law and found it unconstitutional – here’s to hoping we can keep our freedoms!
GOVERNOR WES MORON is a
HUG a THUG lover
WES MORON hates the United States Constitution and White people
STATE POLUCE do not feel safe with WES MORON running our State
hope is not a plan!
Gun control is being able to hit your target !!!!
Totally wrong. Every gun sale in a non HQL state has a NCS background check. Guess what, that’s what the MD SP does a.so. A federal, background check. So the whole system does nothing other than take your money and sell you your rights back. The state is selling you something they don’t own. Your constitutional rights.
